Expired Packages

Pando enables secure, direct file transfers between people. To speed transfers and to ensure recipients can download files ("packages") even if the sender/publisher is offline at the time or behind a restrictive firewall, Pando makes an encrypted copy of all Packages and temporarily stores them on our servers ("supernodes").

Packages are hosted on our servers for the following lengths of time:

  Pando Pando Pro
Email Packages 7 days 14 days
IM Packages 7 days 14 days
Web Packages 30 days 60 days

Click here to learn more about Email, IM and Web Packages.

If you try to download a package past the hosting time listed above, you will get a notice that the Package has expired, but don't fret, your Pando app will try to transfer the files from the sender/publisher's computer and from any other online recipient that has already downloaded the package. If that fails, you will have to ask the sender/publisher to resend it.

Need more time? If your Packages keep expiring before your recipients get a chance to download them, consider upgrading to a Pando Pro subscription. If you're the one stuck trying to download an expired Package, when you ask the sender/publisher to resend it, encourage them to think about upgrading as well!)
