Change your default name and email address
You can change your identity with each Package you send.
- Start Pando. If it’s already running, click on the Pando icon in your Dock to bring it to the front.
- Click the Pando menu. Select Preferences…
- Under the General tab, you can enter a new name and/or email address.
Adding demographic information to My Profile
The first time you subscribe to a Channel, Pando will ask you for basic demographic information, like your gender, country, yadda yadda yadda.
This info is passed on to Channel providers, but be assured that your personal information is kept anonymous. You can change it at any time:
- Start Pando. If it’s already running, click on the Pando icon in your Dock to bring it to the front.
- Click the Pando menu. Select Preferences…
- Under the General tab, change the information shown.
Stop Pando from starting up automatically
Pando is set to start up automatically when you log in to OS X. You can stop it from doing this:
- Start Pando. If it's already running, click on the Pando icon in your Dock to bring it to the front.
- Click the Pando menu. Select Preferences...
- Under the General tab, uncheck "Start Pando when I log in to Mac OS X."
Selecting a different download location for each Package
Pando will start Package downloads automatically when you open a ".pando" file. If you turn this feature off, you will see the Info screen for each Package before choosing to download it. You will also be able to pick the destination for each file you download.
- Start Pando. If it's already running, click on the Pando icon in your Dock to bring it to the front.
- Click the Pando menu. Select Preferences...
- Click the Transfers icon.
- In the Receiving section, uncheck "Start downloads when I open .pando files."
