When you send something using Pando, it will package the file(s) and then display the sent status as "connecting..." This is normally displayed for a few seconds while the Pando network connects you to your recipient and/or other Pando servers. Sometimes, however, it will keep displaying "connecting..." for a long time. Why?
First, check that you're online. Make sure that you can browse a website. (We know this is an online help file but maybe someone else is checking this for you or this page is in an offline cache.) If you were offline, Pando will connect and continue sending the file soon after you are back online.
If you can browse the Web and the upload still says "connecting..." make sure Pando is set to “Online” and the upload hasn't been paused inadvertently. Go to Pando's Status screen and check the Online/Offline toggle menu in the lower left corner. Click on the package and make sure the buttons on the bottom read Info, Pause and Clear. If instead of Pause it reads Resume, click Resume. The file transfer should start again.
If you're online and Pando is “Online” and it is still not working, it could be caused by the Pando service being temporarily unavailable for maintenance. We try to schedule maintenance for times that you won't notice and we always post a notice in the What’s going on? section of our website. If the service is temporarily unavailable, the transfer will automatically start as soon as we've completed maintenance.
If the problem persists, please select "Report a Bug" from the Help menu on the Status window and tell us what happened so that we can fix it.
