2.0 INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT
A. What personal information do we collect?
Pando collects the following information from you, and you need to provide it to us in order to send files using our service: (i) email address and (ii) name. We do not collect your social security number, credit card number or any other personally identifiable information, and we do not look at the content of any message or attachments you send through our service. However, we do collect information about your use of your computer and our service. We need this information in order to operate the Pando Service, but we do not share it with anyone. If we ever did contemplate sharing it, we would ask your permission first.
B. When is it collected?
We collect the items (i) and (ii) described above when you first send files using the Pando Service. If you use our default settings, you do not have to give this information to us again.
C. How will this information be used?
We will use your name and email address to show recipients of messages you send using the Pando Service that the messages came from you. We will also use it to send you a "blind" ("bcc") copy of each message you send through our service. Occasionally, we may use your email address to send you notices or optional surveys directly regarding Pando Networks.
3.0 SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION
We feel very strongly about keeping the information you give us confidential. We will not share the information we collect from you with any third party. If we do ever contemplate doing so, we would send you notice and ask your permission first.
The security of your personal information is important to us. We take the following steps to secure the personal information we collect: All personal data contained in messages sent through the Pando Service is encrypted during transmission to Pando using industry standard authentication and encryption technologies. We protect the information you give us when you register or log in to our service by putting it behind multiple levels of firewalls, with active intrusion detection systems.
5.0 CHANGES TO THIS STATEMENT
Pando will provide a means for you to request removal of your contact information from our active databases. Such information will be deactivated as soon as reasonably possible in accordance with our deactivation policy and applicable law. However, we will retain in our files information you have requested to remove in some circumstances, such as to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our Terms of Service. Further, such prior information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical and legal constraints, including stored "back up" systems. Therefore, you should not expect that all of your personally identifiable information would be completely removed from our databases in response to your requests.
7.0 COLLECTING INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN
Personal information is not knowingly collected from children under the age of thirteen (13) and we ask that minors (under the age of 13) do not submit any personal information to us.
